About Us

Noctū is an artistic collective founded by Simone Pratola, Francesca Sofia Rosso, and Martina Generali, winners of the Cristal for a Graduation Film at the Annecy Festival 2023 with “La notte,” diploma film made at the CSC in Turin.

It was founded in 2026 from a long friendship as an authorial animated film production project aimed at everyone.

Noctū is human, and does not use generative AI because it believes that to be fast, you have to slow down. From here comes the logo, where the strength and perseverance of the tortoise complement the speed of the hare. It favors sustainable, high-quality content through a model of horizontal collaboration. Noctū wants to tell evocative stories, drawing on culture and history, especially from Italy but not only. From classical music to the contemporary world, folklore, and other arts. It is inspired by Japanese and French animation, combining them in a distinctly Italian style. It is aimed not only at film festival audiences but also at a wider, broader audience.
